Journal 1

Journal 1:

Dear Reader,

By the end of this extensive project I hope to have a finished home restoration plan.  Along with the plan I will have collected a wealth knowledge on how to restore an old home so it can be up to living conditions.  A finalized explanation of what I would do in the house, with corresponding illustrations will also be part of the project.  I hope the illustrations will be somewhat realistic, not just black and white, but large with color.  I also hope to be able to include history of the house I use into the finial plan, and use the houses original style as inspiration.  I fear however that this project will become to focused on the planing technicalities of the project, and I will be too focuses on making sure all the details right on how to restore a house.  I want the historical investigation, and art to be a big part of the project as well, because that's what I'm most looking forward to.

I love history and the arts, and both can inspire one another.  I have always enjoyed the physical arts, and reading historical nonfiction, and fiction.  Abandoned objects have always captured my interest because they usually have a rich history. Illustrating history can take something from old to new, creating a beautiful piece of art; that may show its old beauty.  Old abandoned houses don't seem worth while to many so they are left to rot.  I believe they can be fixed and appreciated because they are old and have been through so much.
